REVIEW:
The Forbidden Trilogy was an unexpected delight to read. Seriously, I was up until wee hours of the morning trying to finish this novel. That's how bad I had to know what happened.
This story draws you in right from the beginning, and doesn't let you go until the last page. I was lucky enough to read the omnibus edition with all three stories included Forbidden Mind, Forbidden fire, and Forbidden Life.
The characters in this story are all raised in a school called Rent-A-Kid. They all have paranormal mind talents, and are trained as assassins. They are rent out to wealthy high powered clients. Sam & Drake the two lead characters both have mind talents, she can read minds, and he can control them. Their meeting and escape is what drives the first installment of this trilogy.
Sam and Drake's characters are very complex, as is the secondary characters of this story. The world building is believable, and the romance was most excellent. The trilogy as a whole is different, and convincing.
I'm not sure how to write this review without spoiling it. If you like action packed, heartfelt, sexy YA. I definitely recommend you pick up The Forbidden trilogy. You will not be disappointed, really. I want to read it over again. Right Now.
